The Kentucky Derby is more than a horse race, it’s a long-standing tradition – and an excellent Theme for an Afternoon Tea!
We will be celebrating the Run for the Roses in Grand Style on May 28th from 1pm-2:30pm (Service Team is asked to show up at Noon in order to prepare).
We will be concentrating the Tea Snacks on food items that exemplify traditional Southern fare to create the full Kentucky Derby Experience.
Don a Derby Hat - Or Fascinator. Wearing one is not only tradition, but it is considered to be good luck! From the fantastic to the sublime, there are no rules or limits on your choice of head attire!
No Kentucky Derby Party is complete without the Ponies! We’ve asked a few local Pony Players and their handlers to join us for this special occasion. If you are interested in taking part in the Pony Team for this Afternoon Tea – please contact Brat_Sheba@yahoo.com.
Our Afternoon Teas at The Space, while not quite the same as the ones in the Palm Room at the Ritz in London, are far better. They are about more than tea, pretty china, sandwiches, and cake. They are about sharing in the enjoyment of power exchange and being with others who respect the dynamics of serving and being served. We have put together a team of service s-types who are interested in learning the finer points of tea and table service and who want to hone their skills at anticipatory and formal service.
If you are interested in being a part of this team, please contact MochaLMT or SpankyRae on Fetlife
