We want to teach you burlesque... Big Girl style!

That's right! The Big Girls will be hosting an intensive in August. One full day of everything you need to know to burlesque with confidence!

We will be starting with a discussion as there are all sorts of nerves that arise from the decision to Burlesque. Then we will be covering a wide range of topics including: 

• Movement
• Dance 
• Song Selection 
• Costume Making 
• Pasty Making 
• Drag 
• Dos and Dont's 
• Creating a Persona 
• Stage Makeup and Hair 
• Finishing 
• Booking 

We will be presenting 2 options for this workshop.

Take It To The Bedroom

 This option allows you to take the intensive on its own. If you want to learn how to burlesque but don't have a desire to step foot on a stage then this is the option for you! Knowledge is power, and you are going to be POWERFUL by the time we are done with you! Or you can choose to...

Take It To The Stage!

For this option we will put you on a stage! When you take this intensive your experience will be more geared toward the refinement of one song. Come with an idea for a song (or not) and we will help you get it stage ready! After the intensive is over we will provide mentoring and peer review to help give your performance all the shine that is possible. The Big Girls will host two more two hour sessions of real world rehearsals to help you develop your song. And then we will invite you to join us on stage! You will perform with the Big Girls as our first Graduating Class!!!

If burlesque has EVER been something you have been interested in then this is the opportunity you have been waiting for! And I do mean that! 

Even if you have a physical limitation we can help you find your glamor! Never danced a day in your life? Neither did a couple of us when we started! This class is for EVERYONE!

Take it to the Stage: $100 

• Intensive date: Sat August 13th from 10-6 
• Rehearsal: Thursday August 18th 7-9 
• Rehearsal: Thursday August 25th 7-9 
• Performance date: TBA in September
