"GRUE" technically stands for "Graydancer's Ropetastic Unconference Extravaganza" The important word in that is Unconference. Imagine a space where you can ask that question you've always wanted to ask, share that skill you wanted to share, explore that idea that has been keeping you awake at night. The GRUE is that space, and there's only one thing that every session, class, and discussion has in common: passion.
Everything that happens at the GRUE explore is something people really care about, something they really want to do. In fact, it's the one law of the GRUE: If you're not passionate about what you're doing, do something else.
What do you want to learn and share? The Open Space principles create a dynamic and fast-moving event that's a lot more than rope. Gender issues, D/s dynamics, edge play, erotica, photography, polyamory, electrical play - again, if you're passionate about it, it belongs at the GRUE. It is a place where people try out new classes, explore in-depth issues, and get the most out of their kinky, passionate natures.
We're excited to be holding the event on November 18-20 at The Space, in collaboration with The Columbus Space and AIS events. Tickets are 65$, and that gets you:
- a public Meet & Greet on Friday the 18th, located at an accessible venue. This event is for GRUE attendees to meet each other in advance of the weekend and allow us to hit the ground running Saturday morning.
- a full day of attendee-directed education and conversation on Saturday the 19th, kicking off at 10am sharp and going until 6:30pm, when we break for dinner before...
- the AfterGRUE, a casual low-key party that's a space to continue conversations from the day or put into practice some of what you learned. The AfterGRUE runs from around 9pm to around 2am, at which point you go and get some sleep and rest up until...
- GRUEcakes! Graydancer's famous cheap-ass pancakes - served with genuine maple-flavored syrup, of course - prepared wearing a kilt and giving the GRUE attendees a chance to reconnect over breakfast and finish up any business from the weekend.
